Hello! I'm Ashar Mehmood. My journey into technology wasn't a conventional one. I was born into a family of doctors, and for a long time, that path seemed laid out for me. But under the surface, I was always the one fascinated by technology, curious about the magic happening behind the screens, even when I had no access to it myself.

The day the first smartphone entered my home, my world changed. That curiosity ignited. But the real turning point came in, when my sister was awarded a laptop for her academic excellence. It was the first one I had ever used. For a while, that was my only window into the digital world.

My true journey began, after my 10th-grade exams, as I finally had consistent access to that laptop. The vast world of the internet felt like a universe too big to explore in a single lifetime. Driven by excitement, I decided to build my first website. Using WIX, I created something I could proudly show to anyone on any device. The feeling was incredible.

Despite this pull towards technology, I enrolled in pre-medical for my 11th and 12th grade to follow my family's path. But the passion for tech was too strong to ignore. After my exams, I made a life-changing decision: I applied for a Computer Science program. I was terrified it was just a fleeting emotion, but when I secured the second merit position in the program, even before my final results were announced, I knew I had found my calling.

Now, as I enter my final year at my university, I couldn't be happier with my choice. Those early days of struggling with DNS, domains, and hosting gave me what I consider an unfair advantage: a deep, practical understanding of how things work from the ground up. In university, the theoretical concepts finally gave names to the problems I had already solved.

However, my resourcefulness was immediately put to the test. I wanted to remove the WIX branding and have a custom domain, but as a student, I had no money. This single problem sparked a relentless quest. I discovered WordPress, then spent days searching for free domain options, finally landing on Freenom. I had no idea what a 'DNS' was, but through sheer trial and error, I figured it out.

The moment I saw my very own website with my custom domain and no company branding, live on the internet for the first time is a feeling I'll never forget. It was proof that with enough persistence, I could build anything.

I then ventured into blogging. At first, I aggregated content, but it didn't feel right. I decided to write an original article in my native language, Urdu, about a renowned university in Lahore, using the photos of that institute, my sister sent me. To my amazement, my genuine content got indexed by Google, and I received an email from a Farsi-language newspaper asking for permission to use my work. The respect they showed for my effort was a profound moment of validation.

This foundation allowed me to dive headfirst into professional development, mastering the tools of the trade. Today, I have built over 20 real-world web applications and websites for brands, designers, and businesses.

My Philosophy in the Age of AI
In this new age of AI, I am excited to use artificial intelligence to boost productivity, but I firmly believe it can never replace human creativity. The curiosity, the late night experiments, the failures, and the thrill of finally finding a solution, these are the human elements that lead to truly scalable and innovative systems. AI is a powerful tool, but our ingenuity will always be the guiding force.
